Welcome to my practice! Please take a moment to read a little bit more about me!
I teach and inspire my clients to be who they truly are inside and out. I help individuals, couples, and families see their divine potential and achieve their goals. I truly love being a teacher, therapist, and supervisor.
I received my PhD in Counseling Education & Supervision, and am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and trained sex therapist. I maintain a private practice with a focus on women’s mental & sexual health, and overall wellness in Rochester, New York. I have been a therapist for over 16 years. I specialize in sexual health and education. I believe that all people have the right to their own sexuality, and maintain a sex-positive foundation that is inclusive of all types of relationships. My areas of expertise include lack of desire & desire discrepancies, post-partum, sexual, sexual functioning difficulties, performance issues, painful sex, sexual aversion, pleasure, difficulties with orgasm, sexual identity, sexual abuse, partners of sexual addiction, depression, anxiety, and spirituality.
In addition to being a therapist, I am an Assistant Professor at the College of Brockport in the Social Work Department, and was previously an Associate Professor of Social Work at Nazareth College. I teach master level social work practice courses including practice, research, evidence-based modalities, groups, and research. I have created several electives in the areas of sexual health, addiction, creativity, and social work interventions. I am the author of the book, Exploring Sexual Health in Clinical Practice: Practitioners’ Attitudes, Knowledge, and Training, two current continuing education courses in sexual health and sexually transmissible infections through Western Schools, and several other academic journals, book chapters, and reviews in academic related sources.
All of my work centers on the premise that sexual health is a natural, integral part of life, and that all people are born sexual being. Each of us has the right decide what that means for ourselves. In our work together, I will encourage and empower you to learn about what you want as a sexual being, heal from the past, live in the here and now, and help you focus on increasing your sexual health, overall wellness, pleasure, & satisfaction.
